FAQs
Q: |
What is a hybrid community schooling? |
A: |
A hybrid school or community co-op consists of differing learning styles. In our program, we meet in a community setting with tutors three days a week. The students are dropped off and the tutor facilitates the learning environment and progress assessments. The parent is then responsible for completing assigned work at home on the alternate two days and communicating with the tutor as questions and needs arise. |
Q: |
Are you accredited by the State of North Carolina? |
A: |
No, we are not an accredited school. We are a community that seeks to help educate our sons and daughters together. Our tutors may or may not have teaching certificates, although each tutor is thoroughly vetted and trained through our program. |
Q: |
Do I need to open my own homeschool with the State of North Carolina? |
A: |
Yes, you will need to open your homeschool through the State of North Carolina. You can do that HERE. |
Q: |
Does Generations Academy provide my child's grade transcripts? |
A: |
Yes and no. We do provide progress reports for grades Kindergarten through 6th and grade reports for the 7th through 12th Grades. These, however, are not official transcripts. For High School, you will need to use our information to create your child's transcript with your homeschool name as the official school. High School Transcript templates can be found with a quick Google search. |
